New @ the Library
Back Issues
The Library has begun offering brief (30-minute) student workshops on focused topics that will help students be more aware of the collections and services available to them. The first such workshop, titled "How Do I Find Electronic Full-Text Journals?," was held the week after Spring Break on April 1 and 2. If you have any suggestions for future workshops, anything regarding using libraries that you would like to know more about, let us know.
April is a busy month on campus as we gallop toward the end of the semester. April also brings us to National Library Week (April 12 - 18), and this year's national theme is "Worlds Connect @ Your Library." Stop by the Library during this week to see how we observe this annual event.
We have made a slight change in use of the public laptops in the Library. Because we have had multiple incidents of power cords gone missing, the laptops that have been stationed at the reading tables near the fireplaces are now being kept behind the circulation desk and must be checked out - for use in the Library (they cannot be taken from the building). So, if you would like to use one of these computers, just ask at the front desk. You can then take your checked-out computer and use it anywhere in the building (with the exception of Java City).
